We accept returns, during open hours only, in the bins outside and in the vestibule, to be quarantined for 4 days. You may request interlibrary loans, but delivery times can be up to 2 weeks.
Patrons may reserve materials by calling 244-3798, or emailing librarian@bassharborlibrary.com. You may search our catalog at https://www.mainebalsamlibraries.org/catalog/.
Books can be put on hold through our catalog, Evergreen, with an account. Call the Library at 207-244-3798 to set up an account. Click here for directions on how to place holds.
Please allow 24 hours for materials to be available, but many requests can be completed within a few hours. We will call or email you when they are ready and place your books in a bag on an outside table.
Limited walk-up service is available during open hours on an as-needed basis. Check-outs, printing, new cards and readers’ advisory transactions can be made at the window. Masks and distancing are required in the pickup and return area when others are present, and are required at the window area when speaking with the librarian.
