The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the European Union’s smallest countries (just forty miles north to south and twenty miles east to west); yet it is remarkably diverse with its capital of Luxembourg City and other towns in the south; contrasted by the mostly agricultural middle and the heavily wooded and rugged terrain of the Ardennes Forest in the north. It is surrounded by Germany on the east, Belgium on the north and west, and France in the south.
Luxembourg has the most walking trails and paths per capita of any EU nation.
Suzanne and Pete Madeira have visited annually (except for travel restrictions due to COVID) and have come to love this small country since their daughter Heather and her family moved there in 2004. They will share a variety of images of the country over the course of several visits.
Join Pete and Suzanne via Zoom on Tuesday February 9 from 7-8 pm.
